  1. Ohayō(おはよう)

  1. Choushi wa dou desu ka?(調子はどうですか?/ちょうしはどうですか?)

Translation: How are you?


Usage: It can be used to ask about someone’s condition or health.

  1. Yoku nemuremashita ka?(よく眠れましたか?/

    よくねむれましたか?)

  1. Ii tenki desu ne

(いい天気ですね / いいてんきですね)

Translation: The weather is nice


Usage: It’s commonly used in situations where you want to make a polite comment about the weather, such as with colleague.


Tips: If you want to say more casual, you can say “Ii tenki dane”. It can be used as a casual greeting, especially when the weather is nice in the morning.



  1. Kyou mo ichinichi ganbarimashou

(今日も一日頑張りましょう / きょうもいちにちがんばりましょう)

Translation: Let’s do our best today!


Usage: It’s an encouraging phrase used to motivate others to give their best effort through out the day, often used with friends, family, or colleagues at the start of a busy day.


Tips: It is often used in the morning.
