Have you ever tried matcha? Matcha is a popular Japanese tea enjoyed all over the world. Today, we’ll show you how to make an easy matcha latte that you can prepare on a busy morning.
What is Matcha?

Matcha is a powdered green tea from Japan. Unlike regular green tea, which is steeped in water and then removed, matcha is made by grinding whole tea leaves into a fine powder and mixing it with hot water.
How to make Matcha Latte

Ingredients (2 servings)
・ Matcha powder: 5g (about 2 1/2 teaspoons)
・ Sugar: 1 1/2 tablespoons
・Hot water: 2 tablespoons
・ Milk (or soy milk): 300~350ml
In a cup of about 500ml, combine 5g of matcha (about 2 1/2 teaspoons) and 1 1/2 tablespoons of sugar. Mix them well with a spoon.
Add 2 tablespoons of hot water and mix well with a spoon to ensure there are no lumps.
In a separate microwave-safe container, heat 300ml~350ml of milk in the microwave (or warm it in a small saucepan). Pour the warmed milk into step 2, mix well, and, if desired, heat it a little more in the microwave.
The benefits of matcha

There are many benefits to drinking matcha, and here are three key advantages:
1. Boosts Metabolism & Burns Calories
Matcha contains a powerful combination of caffeine and catechins, which can enhance metabolism and promote fat burning. Because of this, matcha is often considered a diet-friendly beverage.
2. Enhances Brain Function
Rich in L-theanine, matcha helps improve focus, memory, and relaxation while balancing the stimulating effects of caffeine. This makes it an excellent drink to have in the morning before starting work.
3. Supports Heart Health
Regular consumption of matcha may help lower bad cholesterol and blood pressure, reducing the risk of heart disease and supporting overall cardiovascular health.
